Meet our Team

Karen Baker-Jepsen

Has worked in the public school system for over 17 years. As a middle school teacher, HR Unit Supervisor, State Reporting Manager, and as the current founder and CEO of ACR, public education has been at the forefront of her career. She is an adamant supporter of parental choice and believes that public education, whether in the charter school setting or in the traditional public school classroom should be of the highest caliber and teachers and students held to very high standards.

She loves to run, read, bike, and sail when she is not working. She has been married for almost 30 years and has four children and five grandchildren.

Shari Herrington​

Shari has worked with Accountability and Compliance Resources since 2008. Prior to that, she was a registrar and STARS coordinator at a charter school in Albuquerque. She believes that education can take place in a setting that allows students to choose a path that supports their interests, all while preparing them for graduation. She is grateful to have school choice in New Mexico. Her children have attended charter schools in the local area for many years. When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her family and travel.

Carolyn Rideout

Carolyn Rideout has been ACR’s Business Manager for 16 years.  With a M.A. in Business, Psychology and Criminal Justice and 25+ years in Business roles, Her undergraduate degrees include Emergency Services and Accounting.  Carolyn brings knowledge and expertise to the company.  She recognizes the importance of the services that ACR provides and has watched the company become a critical part of Charter School Reporting.

 

During Carolyn’s free time, she enjoys hiking and camping with her husband of 33 years and family.  She also loves being part of local pet rescues where she resides in Utah. Her wish is for one day there to be no homeless pets.

Essence Johnson

Essence is an avid supporter of Public Education and access to the Arts. She has worked professionally in Education for the last 4 years but has volunteered time to better our schools for much of her life. Before specializing in PK-12 PowerSchool Management she worked in Election Data Management with Bernalillo and Sandoval Counties while she attended the University of New Mexico Anderson School. She cultivated a love for Business Ethics and Operational Change while completing her BBA in Organizational Leadership and Entrepreneurship in 2018.

In her free time she enjoys a myriad of outdoor activities including white water rafting, snowboarding, and hiking with her blue heeler, Brighid. She also loves to travel with her husband, play her instruments, read, and quilt.

Shanley Guerrero

She has worked in NM public education since 2011, starting in Human Resources at Alamogordo Public Schools and has been working with NM State Reporting since 2016 as the STARS Coordinator for the district, using Synergy SIS. In 2019 she moved to Mesa, AZ to work at Edupoint Education Systems (Synergy) as the Business Analyst for NM and MN State Reporting. 

Starting summer of 2022, she chose to pursue her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. New Mexico will always be home, so between work and school she will make regular trips home to visit family and friends.

Erika Rideout

Erika is a first year jr analyst for ACR. She is a Biology Major at Utah Valley University and entrepreneur. In her spare time she likes to spend her time outdoors camping, hiking, 4-wheeling and kayaking with her husband, 2 kids and the family dog.
